MEXICO – Five months after Mexico One Stop closed after a school bus crashed into their store at 1 Harlow Hill on June 1, Mexico One Stop has reopened under the name Munchy’s.
Owner Wilbur Samuel Ambrose said Munchy’s specializes in pizza, seafood and submarines, just as they did when they opened in Rumford Centre. No tobacco products, beer or lottery tickets are sold here.
They still serve their popular appetizers – chips, onion rings, jalapeƱos, mozzarella sticks, cheese bites, boneless wings, wings with bones, bacon cheese fries, pep cheese bread, meatballs, and sweet potato fries .
They also offer pasta items – Spaghetti and Meatballs, Spaghetti and Sausage, Penne, Chicken Parmesan Spaghetti, and Italian Parmesan Original.
For dessert, Munchy’s has Gifford’s ice cream quarts, pastry puffs, whoopie pies, bizmarks and fried dough.
They also offer delivery within five miles (call 207-507-1555) for $5.
Store hours are Wed-Sun 10:30am-8pm
The portion of the store the bus passed is now another Ambrose business called Big Time Overhead Doors, LLC. The fully insured business he shares with Rob Koehler offers 24/7 emergency service and a one year labor warranty on all installations.
