Another Cincinnati business damaged by vehicle

Cincinnati (WXIX) — For the third time this week, a Cincinnati business was damaged by a vehicle.

No one was injured under any circumstances.

District 2 police said the latest incident occurred late Thursday at the Agape Cafe on Whetzel and Bramble Avenues in Madisonville.

Two businesses on the Rhine were damaged by vehicles:

  • A Nissan Titan drove past the main entrance of the Alabama Fish Bar on Race Street on Tuesday.
  • A driver remained at large on Thursday after walking through sidewalk tables Sundry and Vice at 13th and Republic Streets, an area with permanent outdoor dining areas known as “streateries.”

City officials have been concerned about pedestrian safety after several people were recently hit by vehicles, including a dead University of Cincinnati student and one of her classmates who were seriously injured while walking through a visible crosswalk.

On Wednesday, the Cincinnati City Council passed an ordinance creating an internal pedestrian safety team to help the city roll out pedestrian safety programs more quickly.
