Aragon Research Honors Qumu’s Rose Bentley 2022 Women in Tech Award

Minneapolis–(Business Wire) — Qumu Corporation (Nasdaq: QUMU ), a leading provider of cloud-based enterprise video technology, today announced that Rose Bentley has been honored with the 2022 Aragon Research Women in Tech Award CEO Award. Bentley joined Qumu in March 2021 as Chief Operating Officer and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2022.

Introduced in 2017, the Aragon Women in Tech Research Award was voted on by the Aragon Women in Tech Council, which is made up of female executives from various tech companies. The award recognizes the achievements of women who have excelled in personal and professional development while making significant contributions to advancing the technology industry.

Bentley was recognized for its role in leading Qumu’s transformation from a traditional business model to a cloud-first, software-as-a-service provider, an enterprise-grade platform for creating, managing, distributing and analyzing real-time and on-demand video. As part of this transition, Bentley is also developing and growing Qumu’s relationships with leading dealers and distributors, optimizing the company’s overall go-to-market performance, building and maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence in customer service, and increasing Qumu’s Income plays an important role.

This includes developing guidelines to help colleagues cope with the new work/life balance reality, such as striving to have no meetings and conference calls on Fridays, setting a “zero response expectation” for emails received outside business hours, and creating a dedicated Healthy Slack channel and health tips. Outside of work, Bentley serves on the boards of directors of two nonprofit organizations, one serving youth and the other focused on animal welfare.
