Burke Health first to purchase robotic surgery technology in the region

WAYNESBORO, Georgia (WRDW/WAGT) – Burke Health announced Monday the purchase of new robotic technology for use in spine surgery.

Robots will be used at the facility to perform two procedures this week, according to hospital officials.

Justin Bundy, Burke Health’s orthopedic surgeon, said: “As the only hospital in the region to use the Globus robot, Burke Health is committed to providing the safest and most effective spinal care. The surgery will be performed using state-of-the-art technology, enhancing patient safety and Great confidence in hardware placement.
