EIL signs MoA with NRL for collaborative technology development

The company has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Numaligarh Refinery (NRL) to jointly develop a technology for “production of ammonia from ammonia-rich acid gas” and demonstrate it at the NRL site, Indian engineers said.

This effort will be a win-win situation for EIL, which has extensive expertise in development, design and engineering, and NRL, which has extensive experience in commercializing indigenous technologies operated by SRU.

The development of technologies to produce ammonia from acid gases should address the issues associated with ammonia disposal in SRUs, in addition to generating value from the waste stream.

Vartika Shukla, EIL CMD, said: “This collaborative arrangement with NRL is one of the major steps taken by the company for indigenous technology development and deployment, leading Atmanirbharta in the energy sector to provide EIL with a diversified portfolio of technology and proprietary engineering projects. power/product.
