The 2022 edition of Decipher, an annual conference on Blockchain and Web3 Use Cases hosted by Singapore-based blockchain platform Algorand Foundation, will take place from 28-30 November 2022 at the Jumeirah Conference and Events Centre in Dubai, UAE.

The three-day conference is expected to feature over 120 speakers from leading companies in the tech ecosystem such as Bahamas cryptocurrency exchange FTX, US-based global investment firm SkyBridge Capital, UK-based zero-carbon based Technology’s Formula E company Envision Racing, US music streaming platform Napster, Cayman Islands-based cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Chinese crypto-native venture capital firm Sino Global Capital, and music and entertainment NFT marketplace LimeWire, among others.
Event attendees will be able to sign up for one-on-one coaching sessions with blockchain experts, learn how to set up a wallet and experience playing money-making games, and explore high-end curated NFT art galleries. Additionally, they will be able to participate in hands-on workshops designed for developers led by engineers and product owners. These experts support the Algorand protocol, a decentralized Byzantine agreement protocol based on pure proof-of-stake that can tolerate any number of malicious users, as users who follow the protocol’s instructions hold more than two-thirds of the total stake in the system.
Fifty sessions are expected to take place over three days. One session, titled “Financial Inclusion at Scale: A World Tour,” will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities that exist in enabling a blockchain-powered future of inclusive finance. Speakers at this session will include HesabPay founder Sanzar Kakar, FlexFinTx co-founder and CEO Victor Mapunga, Eko India Financial Services co-founder Abhinav Sinha and Algorand Foundation Social Impact Head Matt Keller.
Following the launch of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy in July 2022 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, another session of the conference will draw on the The conference titled “Building the Next Crypto Capital” will see business leaders in the Middle East discuss how to create a framework for compliant crypto businesses to thrive. Speakers at this session include Basil Al Askari, CEO and Co-Founder of MidChains, Jehanzeb Awan, Chairman of the Middle East, Africa and Asia Crypto and Blockchain Association, Benjamin Ampen and Jehanzeb Awan, CEO of MENA.
FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and SkyBridge Capital founder and managing partner Anthony Scaramucci will also be speaking at another session titled “Efficiency, Speed and USDC on Algorand.” Additionally, a special Women’s Breakfast Club will be held on 30 November 2022 from 8:30am – 10:00am (UAE), open to all women in the Web3 technology community for free.
