DCCA Press Release: First Quarter Hawaii Annual Business Report Due

HONOLULU – The U.S. Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ (DCCA) Business Registry (BREG) reminds businesses to file an annual business report. The annual report filing period is related to the registration date of the business entity and can be filed at any time during the quarter when the filing is due.

Businesses registered in the first quarter (January-March) can now file their annual reports online at https://hbe.ehawaii.gov/annuals. Reports due for the fourth quarter must be submitted to the BREG by midnight (HST) on 31 March 2023 to avoid late filing penalties.

From 1 January 2023, the Commercial Register will no longer send postcard reminders. If you would like to receive reminders about the annual business report, this department offers the following services:

  • Anyone can use the “my business notification“Hawaii pageBusiness Express. There is an annual subscription fee of $2.50 per business.
  • By submitting initial business documents online hawaii business express Receive a free email reminder when the next year’s annual report is due.

To check the status of a business entity, enter the business name in our business name search and click Search. The reporting quarters are as follows: the first quarter is from January to March; the second quarter is from April to June; the third quarter is from July to September; the fourth quarter is from October to December.

The fees for filing an annual business report in Hawaii online are as follows: LLCs, Profit Corporations, and LLPs: $12.50; Nonprofit Corporations: $2.50; and Partnerships: $5.00. Accepted online payment methods include credit cards, electronic checks, or through eHawaii.gov subscriber accounts.

Please be aware of any correspondence not from BREG. BREG does not endorse or utilize the services of any third-party companies for the collection or filing of annual business reports.

Businesses are encouraged to file timely reports to maintain the good standing of the entity, which may be a prerequisite for qualifying for contracts, loans and other forms of business assistance. If you are late in filing your Hawaii Annual Report, you may file online with a late fee of $10.00 per year in arrears.
