HDFC Bank enters technology partnership with Microsoft
India’s largest private bank HDFC Bank has entered into a partnership with Microsoft to begin its digital transformation journey, which includes its application portfolio, data landscape and security.
HDFC Bank will leverage Microsoft Azure to consolidate and modernize its enterprise data landscape through a federated data lake to expand its information management capabilities for cross-enterprise reporting and use artificial intelligence for advanced analytics.
As part of its Future Ready strategy, HDFC Bank is developing in-house IP and is collaborating with various companies including FinTechs to co-create technology IP. In addition, the bank will leverage the low-code and no-code capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform to build application innovation and automation factories. Apollo Hospitals signs MoU with IIT Kanpur
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and Apollo Hospitals have signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct collaborative research in clinical applications of artificial intelligence and other medical technologies of mutual interest.
This collaboration is a formal recognition of the rapid convergence of healthcare and technology that is changing the practice of medicine. Apollo Research and Innovations (ARI), a division of Apollo Hospitals, has been involved in medical research, innovation, health education, teaching, and clinical deployment of AI for more than two decades.
According to Apollo Hospitals, the collaboration with IIT Kanpur will build on ARI’s foundation and expand the field of research and development in healthcare technology.

India Accelerator, ICICI Bank and Infosys Finacle Launch Launchpad
India Accelerator, a seed-stage accelerator program that aims to nurture and co-innovate with India’s startup ecosystem, today announced the launch of i3 Launchpad. It was developed in collaboration with ICICI Bank and Infosys Finacle, which is part of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly-owned product subsidiary of Infosys.
The goal of i3 Launchpad is to support a community of entrepreneurs whose mission is to create brands with global reach. It aims to help startups accelerate their success by leveraging guidance, resources and opportunities from Infosys Finacle, ICICI Bank and India Accelerator (IA).
The program is open to startups from all industries and will recruit two cohorts each year with a target of 12-18 startups in each cohort. The first sectors to focus on include fintech, enterprise tech and SaaS, proptech, wealthtech, sustainability and greentech, and insurtech. Founders can participate in remote and in-person group learning sessions.
