Business researcher Scott J. Reynolds will speak on business ethics in October. 19 as part of the Ph.D. Bill Stratton Distinguished Scholars Research Symposium Series.
The presentation is open to faculty, students and the community and will be held at 3 p.m. in Room 506, Business Administration Building, Idaho State University Pocatello Campus.
Reynolds is Professor of Business Ethics, Chair of the Department of Management and Organization, and Michael G. Foster Distinguished Professor at the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business. His research, focused on ethical decision-making, has been published and awarded in numerous top management and business ethics journals. Reynolds’ presentation will focus on the concept of a team’s moral identity.
“Good ethical behavior is the foundation of strong relationships that every business depends on to achieve its goals,” Reynolds said. “Therefore, building stronger relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and all other key stakeholders makes the business more likely to be successful.”
Reynolds is the first host of the new Doctor. Bill Stratton Distinguished Scholars Research Symposium Series, named after the former Dean of the School of Business, Ph.D. Bill Stratton. The series will provide our university and community with a variety of insights, networking and research collaboration opportunities in the business world.
