Musk says he will step down as Twitter CEO after finding a replacement

Reuters reported on December 20 that Elon Musk (Elon Musk) said on Tuesday that he will step down as Twitter CEO after finding a replacement.

“As soon as I find out that someone is stupid enough to take the job, I will resign as CEO! After that, I will only manage the software and server teams,” Musk tweeted.

It was the first time Musk mentioned resigning as chief executive of the social media platform, after the billionaire launched a poll Sunday night in which Twitter users voted decisively for his resignation.

Calls for Musk’s ouster have been growing on Wall Street for weeks, with even Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) bulls recently questioning his focus on social media platforms and whether it would distract him from being right about the electric car business. Directed, and he is now at the core of product design and engineering.

Musk himself admitted that he had too much to do, and said he would be looking for a Twitter CEO. Still, he said on Sunday that there was no successor and that “no one wants a job that really keeps Twitter alive.”
