No apparent cause of man’s death found in Atwood business district | Court-police-fire

ATWOOD — Authorities in Atwood are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before saying what may have contributed to the death of a man found on a city sidewalk Friday.

Eian W. Urban, 19, was found dead on Main and Center streets by a man picking up mail at the post office around 7:20 a.m., Atwood Police Chief Rob Bross said. On the sidewalk near the intersection.

“We’re trying to piece together a timeline of what happened, when and where, taking information from out-of-state family members and locals,” Bross said.

An autopsy in Bloomington on Saturday did not show any apparent signs of why Mr. City dies. Toxicology results may take four to six weeks to become available.

Bross said the young man lived in Atwood but had no permanent address. He also spent a lot of time in Hammond, the chief said.

No one else in the community was at risk, Bross said.
