Police: Man disarms Clintonville commercial security, breaks into safe, steals $3,000

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus police are looking for a man accused of breaking security at a Clintonville business before breaking into a safe and stealing approximately $3,000.

Columbus police said security cameras captured the suspect placing a magnet on a door alarm on the back door of a business in the 2800 block of North Avenue, causing the alarm to go off. A few days later, surveillance video showed the alleged suspect entering the business and getting into a safe, police said. The suspects got away with about $3,000.
