Sheppard Names New Electrical Systems Technology Instructor at SGTC Crisp County Center

UNITED STATES – Jeff S. Sheppard, Jr. of Cordele has been hired as the new Electrical Systems Technical Instructor at South Georgia Technical College’s Crisp County Center, effective immediately, along with SGTC President Dr. John Waterford. He will report to Julie Partain, South Georgia Technical College’s Director of Enrollment Management and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Sheppard is an honors graduate of South Georgia Technical College’s Crisp County Electrical Systems Technology and Electrical Construction Technology programs.He also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Environmental Horticulture from the Sports Turf Management Program at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Since May 2021, he has been an adjunct instructor in the Electrical Systems Technology program with retired instructor Mike Enfinger. In addition to his work experience at South Georgia Technical College, Sheppard has worked at the Pinecrest County Club as an assistant groundskeeper and press brake operator with Malville. He has also worked for Norbord Georgia, Inc., Florida State University, Golden Brother’s Co., Feed & Seed, Scoggins Dozier, and Ramada Inn.

As the new Crisp County Center Electrical Systems Technology Instructor, Sheppard will be responsible for instructing students in SGTC’s Electrical Systems Technology program while utilizing appropriate teaching techniques and demonstrating knowledge of current programs in the electrical systems field. He will also follow the approved course syllabus, complete in a timely manner all documentation related to the assigned course, and maintain an accurate inventory of all assigned property.
