Kansas State made a major adjustment in the second half. The Wildcats held Texas to 114 yards and forced three punts. On top of that, Kansas State started to take Texas off the field for the third time after going 5-for-7 in the first half, holding the Longhorns to 3-for-8.
Martinez was strong, throwing for 169 yards in the second half alone. He finished for 381 yards and three touchdowns in the game. However, his mistakes got him into trouble. The Wildcats beat Texas 468-466 but failed to score a touchdown on three key red zone trips.
Robinson was again great with the Longhorns, breaking the 200-yard mark for the first time this season and for the second time in his career with 30 carries for 209 yards. K-State’s Deuce Vaughn rushes for 73 yards, catches for 86 yards and touches.
