Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, January 4, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–US Alliance Group, Inc (USAG), the parent company of Electronic Cash Systems (ECS), which revolutionized the payment processing industry, announced today that it has been named one of Orange County’s 2022 Best Places to Work . The company was ranked sixth out of 86 top small companies in the awards established by the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group. Recognizes companies to expand Orange County’s economy, workforce, businesses and communities. Recognized businesses are selected based on anonymous employee surveys.
“In order to make a positive difference in our world, we have to start at home. Our family life comes from what we do every day. So my philosophy has always been to make USAG a family,” said USAG CEO Fadi Cheikha. “I think a 40-hour week in the office should reflect the time families spend at home. That’s why we choose to be a second family for our employees. That means not only do we care about each employee’s financial well-being, but we care about them too health, personal well-being and overall well-being. This award is my greatest achievement as it is a true testament to my people’s acceptance of our intentions.”
One of USAG’s efforts to promote employee well-being is their supplemental paid time off, called Extreme Time Off (ETO). Employees can use ETOs to donate time to service with USAG’s non-profit organization Aiden Whisper, other local charities, community events, or attend self-improvement days.
USAG encourages employees to participate in corporate mobility challenges, marathons, 5Ks, and other fitness events that promote self-improvement and healthy living through sponsored and paid ETOs. Additionally, its fully loaded on-site gym provides cardio and weight training for all employees and their families and friends. Employees who participate in the USAG Mobility Challenge will also receive bonuses and company paid time off.
In addition, employee benefits continue to offer an open office environment, contributions to an IRA plan, health care options including a 100% employer-paid plan for employees and eligible dependents, lunches provided, 6 sick days with an average of 18.5 days or paid Vacation, accrued PTO hours, and 7 additional days of flexible paid time off.
Organizations across the county entered a two-part evaluation process to be considered for Orange County Business Journal’s Best Places to Work award. The first segment is managed by the Best Companies Group, which assesses each organization’s workplace practices, policies and demographics. The second part measures employee satisfaction, measured by an anonymous survey conducted by Orange County in partnership with Energage. Best Places to Work is calculated by combining the highest scores from both parts and awarded to the organization with the highest score. USAG is proud of its achievements this year, ranking sixth among all small businesses recognized by the OC.
