Since the Nevada Secretary of State registers all business entities through his online database (SilverFlume), you can conduct a Nevada business entity search by looking up the name of a potential business. If the name you choose already exists, you will need to use a different name.
SilverFlume is easy to use and offers the following business entity search options:
- Company Name
- entity number
- Nevada Business ID Number
- official name
- registered agent name
For each of these main categories, there are search filters such as “Starts with”, “Contains” and “Exact Match”.
To search the database using a business name, you need to enter the legal name of the business in the search field and click Search to see the results. Below is an example of results from a search for the name “John Smith”.
